Mame32 button mapping issue....???
« on: September 16, 2004, 12:11:00 pm »
Hey folks I've got something that seems to be occuring A LOT more now than before.

In many games when you bring up the configuration menu to assign buttons for each action it will not map them correctly.

Example (Track & Field, Popeye and others):

Map Player 1 Button 1 -- when you select that button and then press the corresponding button on the CP it registers as LeftCtrlRightCtrl.  No matter what I do it always does this.

I have checked my mapping in the IPAC software and it shows up there just fine.  It will also do this if I attach the keyboard and try to press the actual key on the keyboard and NOT the button on the CP.

I am having this problem on 2 different machines (one has an IPAC4 and the other a Minipac).  I should also mention that it does this on ANY button tha is not a letter or number (ie X, Y, Z etc map fine but any that is supposed to be LeftCtrl, LeftAlt, LeftShift, Right..., Right... etc.) always screws up.

Any thoughts??

Thanks

Greg

Don't pause the game when you map controls.
