I'll pay someone to to alter this vector
« on: September 14, 2004, 04:58:06 pm »
There are two GI Joe vectors on this site: http://edeveaud.free.fr/tmp/

If anyone can alter the first one to say "Iraqi Joe" instead of GI Joe and instead of "A Real American Hero!" for it to say just "Real American Heroes!", and the second one to say "Iraqi Joe" instead of "GI Joe" I'll give ya a few bucks paypal. If you want to do just one that is fine.

I'll do it in the morning, but paint shop pro 7 and above will do it for you.

There's a demo at www.jasc.com.

I just saw that they're eps files.  PSP may not do it.  I'll try in Illustrator tomorrow (It's on a dif computer).

Yes I was hoping for vector format so I can resize them as needed.

just tell me what's EPS in this case. ;)

ok without kidding.
EPS is vector format.you can open EPS file in illustrator (or photoshop as mentioned previously on the thread) and resize them without any quality loss.
in illustrator just select the whole thing and resize them using the anchors
in photoshop when you open the file, it ask you wich size you want to use, give any size you want, and voila, it's resized to feet yor needs.
I'm on the planning stage

It says your account is disabled so hopefully you can respond to this. Thanks! Did you do both of them or just one, I'm kinda confused. There are two files, one of which is the classic GI Joe logo altered like I asked, and then there is another illustrator file that doesn't seem to want to open. I'll make sure my illustrator is up to date. Either way thanks a bunch, and if you want to give me your paypal information I'll send a few bucks your way. If you can't post email me at creedenceclearwater72-nospam-@yahoo.com, just take out the -nospam- part.

I know EPS is vector, I was worried someone was going to photoshop it into a jpg or png and not a vector that I could resize, which would do me no good.

(you can save a photoshop file as eps.... which is not vector.... EPS does not necessarily mean vector)

Oh, and my account is not disabled. It just says that.

Anyway, I did the first file.... not the second one.

I made some minor modifications, and uploaded it again.

Ah ok, there was a second file in the zip folder and I wanted to make sure it wasn't a corrupted .zip file. Thanks so much for helping me out. Out of curiosity, what version of illustrator are you using?

CS, but I saved the file as an EPS, so hopefully it should work with any version.

It's definitely not a difficult file.

EPS is "encapsulated PostScript", so anything you can send to a PostScript printer can be in an EPS file.   Thus an EPS file can contain bitmap images, but it's strength is in vectors.
