Problem w/Win XP; some Icons not displaying right?

Problem w/Win XP; some Icons not displaying right?

I have a Sony Vaio 1.6 P4, had it since feb'02....heres my problem, we have 2 user's on our pc, me and my wife...on my user name everything is perfect, but when i log off and my wife logs onto her acct, the recycle bin icon is messed up, the icon is there, but the icon has that generic look to it, and over the last couple of days, the "my documents" & "my pictures" little folder looking icons have messed up too, i mean the icons are there but the proper looking icon is gone, again just the generic one. Last nite i did a full Norton anti virus scan on both c: & d: drives, both clean, i have the latest live updates, did a spyware scan last nite too, also used the norton windoctor tool that came w/norton 2004, usually that fixes weird probs that ive had on my pc in the past, this time nada.....i am a little concerned about this, if anyone has any suggestions i'd really appreciate them.

even though the icons have changed to the actual programs still function correctly associated with those icons?
