Anybody with a toshiba 27A33/34 have this problem?
« on: September 11, 2004, 11:30:17 pm »
OK i just bought a 27" toshiba 27A34 for my mame cab. and i'm using an ati 9000 pci 64MB agp card. Im using the s-video and for some reason there is like a 1/2"-1" gap of unused space on the screen. Is there any adjustment to the t.v. ,video card, or windows that i can make to make it use the whole screen? Sorry it's just bugging me looking at that unused space. It makes it look like the screen is unbalanced.

I have this tv and am using an ATI AIW9600 card.  I spent quite some time configuring the tv to run with Component using a dongle.  After reading everything I could find on the subject, it turns out that there are some sacrifices (at least I haven't found a solution) when using a tv.  I'm running Mamewah at 640x480, but the best screen resolution for everything else, including games, was 640x432.  I got this resolution using Powerstip.  The negative is Mamewah gets cut off slightly around the edges.

I know this doesn't solve your problem, but at least you can see others are experiencing this as well.

I had the same issue. This was fixed by using the tv service menu. Look at this thread:
