The 1220 model is for use with a picture tube yoke that has 9 to 15 ohms resistance (a.k.a. "low impedance") on the vertical section. The 1820 is for use with a picture tube yoke that has 30 to 56 ohms resistance (a.k.a. "high impedance") on the vertical section.
While the monitor power is off and it's unplugged, disconnect the 4 wire yoke connector and stick your digital ohmmeter leads in the yellow and green wires. If it shows 30 to 56 ohms then you have a model 1820. Of course if you look at the silkscreened markings on the component side of the monitor board, somewhere near the edge by the power cord is the model number.
