ATI HDTV dongle problems, need help

The dongle had been working fine, but about a week ago the red side started getting flakey. I messed with the cables and finially got it to work. Today after unhooking everything to move the cab inside it is now doing it again. Basicly it's like the red side is not making a connection. If I mess with the cables by the DVI dongle I can get it to come on, but not stay on. I have tried a different set of componet cables and the same thing happens. Anyone have any suggestions? Do I just have a bad dongle?
