VPinMAME problem.
« on: September 05, 2004, 12:38:10 am »
I installed VP and VPinMAME accoording to the vpforums website

I installed Howards wrapper also.
I set it up in Mamewah according to Butlers Mamewah setup site.

I loaded Addams Family(rom and folder)  in and it shows up in Mamewah, but I select it and Howards ROM screen shows up and then it says Run Time 76: Path not found

I can sometimes (not often)  get the table to show up, it looks fine, and I can "bump" the table

What did I do wrong?

UPDATE::

I reinstalled everything. I included Evil Kievel, Firepower,GnR and Addams Family tables and Roms.

I can get the Howard screen on all of the games but 2 things might happen

A: some options box pops up (I'm on a jamma cab, kinda hard to get rid of without trackball, I use mouse, click outside of box, its stuck at blue Howard screen)

B: Evil is the only one that starts, have to use keyboard. I am assuming I can redo buttons . But where? Visual Pinball?

Do I just need to change some settings? If so, Where?

Thanks to everyone who replied ;D ;D

I got everything running now, exept the stupid credit button!! I changed it in visual pinball along with all the flippers and start button, but for some reason, the credit button refuses to change!! I still have to drag out the keyboard and hit "5" even though it says "2" in the "keys" menu!!

WHY???

Ugh I have been trying to figure this out for you but had no luck. I think it's a pinmame problem. I have changed the "VPMkeys" and the "s6" VBScript files to use "2" for credit and it still won't work. But if you are using a jamma cab I guess you are using a j-pac so just use the credit switches in the coin door for credits. Or there is tricks to make your coin reject buttons double as coin insert buttons.
Curls in the squat rack !?!?!

Edge- Thanks for the reply and time!! I have been using the credit switches . I am glad someone else had the problem too, and I'm not just an idiot!! I may go over to the VP forums and ask around there.

Thanks
