Anyone remember Kentucky Fried Movie?
That is a movie of extraordinary magnitude.

You have my gratitude.
Next I'll be on fries, and that's when the big money starts rolling in.

Poonga's got a good list, and Private Lessons was one of my "You going out tonight Mom?  Be home when the bars close?  Oh don't mind me...I'll be FINE!" late night HBO favorites as well.

A couple of other unmentioned goodies:

Up the Acadamy
Hamburger:  The Motion Picture
Joysticks (c'mon people!  No one HERE mentioned this one??)
Decline of the Western Civilization (both parts but especially part 2).
Moving Violations (not trashy but damn stupid)
Losin' It (Tom Cruise's first movie.  Bad bad bad)

Trashy, as in bad special effects and an even worse story:

The Black Hole - Disney's sorry attempt at SciFi

Classic:

The Blues Brothers - the senseless destruction of so many cars is just beautiful!!

Zapped - I always wanted the ability to cause chicks clothes to come off at will.

LOL. That movie was funny. I saw it in the theatre when it came out. Haven't seen it in a while though..time to run to the video store!  ;D

I just watched Revenge of the Nerds today, thats pretty trashy.

Anyone remember Kentucky Fried Movie?

Remamber it? I OWN it. A Fist Full of Yen is a classic!

Oh, BTW, it your avatar "The Jesus" from The Big Lebowski? That's another classic, but not from the 80's.....

Before I forget, my contribution to the Better off Dead quote fiesta....

"Gee, Ricky, I'm sorry your mom blew up...."

69 dude!

What about Karate Kid?  I always like the way Daniel-son got the girl to fall in love with him at the arcade while the bad 80's music was playing....so romantic.  ;)  that's how long it took people to fall in love in the 80s.  1 song during a night of quick flashes.  Same thing in Better off Dead.  Amazing!

I can't remember the title now... a movie set in a military school, made by Mad Magazine, and Ralph Macchio was in it... had a teacher who kept yelling "SAY IT AGAIN" every 5 seconds...

Losin' It (Tom Cruise's first movie.  Bad bad bad)

I thought Tom's first movie was Toy Soldiers.  He looks like he's 12 in that one (although he's probably 18).

I think you mean TAPS.

But Tom's first movie was Endless Love (1981)

Tom Cruise was 19 when Taps was released so 18 is probably correct for his age in the film.

There were three movies called Toy Soldiers! Only one waqs from 1984.
