Screen flipping in cocktail mode

Why, oh why, oh why must Mame tell us that screen flipping in cocktail mode is not supported in so many games that don't HAVE a cocktail mode?

Like Sega Turbo, that is a freaking driving game, there is no cocktail mode.

Actually, I am not sure if I ever saw that message on a game that actually does have a cocktail mode.
