Poll: Which topics are most annoying to you?

Is it me or are the current wave of everything else posts gone south.  I used to always check the everything else board because there was usually some good posts with some funny links or other interesting off topic information.  Unfortunately lately it seems dominated by useless posts, spam or politics.  Which I can understand all the politics as the upcoming election is soon and each side must get their propaganda out in order to educate and sway the uninformed.  But this latest buzz on the free stuff is just too much for me.  I realize that I don't have to read each thread, but there just seems to be so many worthless threads in everything else.  I think that I will stop checking the everything else board until December.  Hopefully by then everyone will accept that GWB will be around another 4 years, and everyone has gotten their free ipods/tv's/computers...  

Sorry for the rant.

P.S.  Wonder if there will be an influx of FS/FT ipods in the buy/sell/trade forum...

Well I agree in part for the TV/iPod topics.  Thats why I've tried to condense it down into the single Conga Line thread.  I was tired of seeing every single person posting their individual referral links.

So I hope one active thread with that type of topic isn't too bad

Yeh whenever I can't sleep I always check out  Everything Else. I just click on one of the many political snooze fest posts and before I know it I'm snoring away and having this nightmare where every single post in the main forum is the following.... Super vs Comp, Comp vs Super, Which is better for fighters Supers or Comps ? Ultimates,Supers or Comps ?  Comps, Supers or Ultimates ?! Then suddenly I'm being chased by this evil army of Happ microswitch joysticks  ! I'm trying to run but I can't move ! I look behind me and I see the Super catching up to me followed by the Comp and behind him in last place is the lame Ultimate. Then suddenly I wake up in a cold sweat. Well, I guess my nightmare answered the all time most popular question. The super is the best followed by the Comp and the Ultimate. Now hopefully I'll never see that question again.......

I mostly hate the political threads.  I don't see how they relate to arcade controls.  Furthermore, nobody is changing anybody's mind.  People are already polarized and no matter what anybody says, the person on the other side of the ideology will have some kind of comeback.  All they serve to do is cause an atmosphere of contention between board members who would otherwise get a long just fine.

I think that not only should people who create these threads be ashamed of themselves, but people who even post to them.  All these political retards who actually delude themselves into thinking that anybody  cares about their political opinions should be banned from the forums.

I'll bet you even money that the poilitcal threads do not die in November.  I'll even wager that the free (insert marginally desirable electronic applicane here) threads will drop off the fist page of threads before the political ones do.  

Yes, the election is in early November.  But then you have the winners gloating posts, the losers complaining posts, the dire prediction posts, the inauguration repeats of all the above posts, which should carry you through the first State of the Union Post.  And that without any major political announcement happening.  What happens if we pull out of Iraq/find Bin Laden/have another major terrorist incident?  

But yes, the pyramid scheme threads are the most annoying, especially when you already own an iPod mini, a PC, and a Flat screen television.

I don't know, there appears to be 5 free %$%$ threads including 1 sticky, and 3 political threads on the first page right now (judging by the topics).  I can see the political stuff thinning out, but there are some eager people looking for free stuff, even some willing to pay for referrals.  I noticed one guy said he learned about this site from another "get some free crap" website and has now joined here to wait in line for his free ipod.

Yeh they know who they are as most of them post there more then they do the main forum. I know one thing. They won't suck me in because I refuse to post in any of those topics. The less replies the sooner they'll die.

I don't really mind any of those topics in the poll because they can be identified by the message title and easily ignored.

The posts that annoy me are the ones with the titles like "This is so sweet!" or "The coolest thing!" that give you no indication of the content of the post.

I don't want to miss something interesting, so I look. Without expcetion, it never involves something "cool" or "sweet". Usually it's something like getting a job at a dog kennel scooping crap, or pulling an old bicycle out of a creek. I guess I'm also at fault for being suckered in over and over again.

I voted for the political threads... but another couple that annoy me that you don't have on there are when people post obvious questions like.... what kind of glue should I use on wood?  Should I use wood glue?  Or just pointless opinion questions like... should I get a blue PC case or a Green one even though it's gonna be inside my cabinet and you'll never see it.  Okay my rants over now.

TV/Ipod threads are definitely the most annoying.  The political threads are entertaining in a sort of train wreck sort of way.

I took a working (Quantum, Centipede, Robotron, Defender, Pacman, etc) and took out all of the stupid guts, and stomped on them. I then painted the sides purple and orange, installed a 4 player control panel, and now it plays 6,000 gameseseses. I mean, sure, I could have actually restored the game for $5, but instead I dropped it's value to .10c. but it PLAYS 6,000 GAMESESESESSESSSSSSS
