Mamewah: Kawaks or Nebula?
« on: August 17, 2004, 07:28:48 pm »
Just wondering what the best Mamewah friendly EMU would be out of the above. Anyone have them running smoothly / had probs and would advise to avoid?

Thx

Halo,

I don't know about you, but my version of Kawaks
(1.48) doesn't support command line game loading.
This makes it incompatible with Mamewah unfortunately,
I think.

Let me know if you have figured out a work around.
It would be immensely helpful

Matt

Well . I've not tried Kawaks with Mamewah. I have got Nebula to work to a point .. I can get the games list up, get the loading 'Nebula' screen up at full size, then it kinda 'flashes' and goes back to the games list again. I have noticed that when running Nebula from Windows, it works fine, but a whole bunch of loading blurb appears on the left hand side of the screen in a progressive list .. which would be better off hidden.

Thanks for the input, it's saved me going the Kawaks route .. but I'll google to see if anyones managed it too.

I use kawaks with mamewah with no problem.  You have to set it up to launch the Kawaks gui though since it is not a command line emulator.

MrDude,

Do you have a trackball on your CP?
I'm not planning one, and would love to be able to use
Kawaks at times.
According to the WIP for earlier versions of
Winkawaks, the program used to support command line stuff
Wonder what happened?

Hey that sounds promising M.D.! So, just point the executable in Mamewah config to the GUI?
