Advance cd problems??

ok i have tooken my advmame.rc from my other mame machine as the video is already setup and i wont have to fool with it. well i have made my advcd in windows and when i goto load it on my new mame machine it says loading linux says a little more bout setting up and then goes to a black screen and my caps lock and scroll lock blink forever with no screen. dosent say anything on screen not anything. any answers? i have a an ati rage pro video card with a isa opti sound card that works well with my other mame machine. pent 2 machine 350mhz and about 196mbs ram. my galaga machine went down so i am puttin gthis in there till i get it fixed. dont know why it dosent work though. tried it without the advmame.rc file in it as well and same black screen. it never gets through booting the kernal i think. this is the last line before it goes to a black sreen. but the screen yuou can see it is not toallyblack has a lighter black screen in it so it wants to work...it just isnt though.
