Accident Prone...
« on: August 13, 2004, 09:18:50 pm »
You ever have a couple of weeks where you're just a danger to yourself?  Two weeks ago I was putting up a shed with the help of my fiancee, when she dropped one of the steel panels.  It hit me right below the elbow...  I thought it was just a scratch until I felt blood dripping from my fingers.  Needless to say, the steel has sliced me pretty good so we went to the ER where I got 5 stitches.  I'm 26 years old, and this is the first time I've ever had them, lol.

We get home after the 3 hours at the ER (and $670 later).  About an hour later, DHL delivers my new laptop (Which just rocks!!).  In my excitement to get into the package I cut right into my thumb with the knife as I cut the tape on the box.  Fun.

Well, today, I thought my streak of bad luck had run out by now, but no, I was wrong.  I was working on some plumbing, clearing some old packing out of a valve stem with a screw driver when I slipped and drove the screwdriver into the palm of my left hand.  Lovely, eh?

I'm starting to think that I need to stay away from sharp objects...   ;D

Ya know, when Bill Engvall said "Here's your sign", I think he had you in mind  ;)  Seriously, take it easy.

You’re always in control of your behavior. Sometimes you just control yourself
in ways that you later wish you hadn’t

on those days.... just take it slow.... and steady... and calm...

I think you should do that.... are you ok ??... driving a screwdriver into your palm... that really hurts.....  Ouch....
