I'm planning on using a 3" translucent myself, but my question is, what's up with the grammar?  I'm not trying to be rude, but you even misspelled the word leech in your user name.

Well, all of that makes sense to me.  And I loved being a lazy teenager  ;)

Actually, it's pretty cool to have teens interested in the older games.  Back to the trackball though, the exact one I'm gonna use is this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=13718&item=6107531400.  Getting one like this will keep you from having to buy an Optipac, saving you a bit of cash.  Hope this helps some.

Weight and inertia.  Games like bowling games and golden tee golf are better played with a heavier ball; fast-moving games like centipede are better played with a smaller, lighter ball.

OSCAR sells an interface for $10.00 that will work.  Or hack your own from a USB ball mouse, although they're getting harder to find...

Get a 3" Happ Trackball.  And if you want to save your self some cash.  Get a USB/PS2 3" Happ Trackball from ebay.  As it'll save you from purchasing an interface for Oscar or the Optipac from ultimarc.

Plus, the trackball would be plug and play.

I don't know about the seller in the first link, but don't buy anything from the seller in the second link - www-kidsplaythings-cc.  Check the buy/sell/trade forum for a discussion on the seller.  I've finally received my package from them and, after a long wait, there are missing pieces from my order.
