Large format printers
« on: August 11, 2004, 10:32:46 pm »
We got one of these at work not too long ago:
http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en/sm/WF05a/18972-236251-236266-12600-236266-297079.html

I have been drooling to print some cp overlays or sideart on it..
Do you think the standard paper would work ok for printing on?

perhaps for the side art.. I could laminate it and then use contact spray to adhease it to the side?  If side art on it isn't a good idea then I can just do the CP and marquee..

many people use paper prints for their CP, but they cover it with plexi/lexan.

I'm not sure about the marquee. It depends on the grain of the paper. If it's really paper then it might look too dim and messy (the fibers showing) when you shine a light through it. Many glossy "papers" actually are more like plastic sheets though so they might work.

Standard paper would work, but the quality would not be there. You should be able to print on vinyl on that printer.
