d9200 driver? refresh problem?
« on: August 06, 2004, 06:10:01 pm »
is there a driver for this monitor somewhere?  for some reason mine keeps going back to 640X480  at 200 refresh rate in windows.  I am using the arcadevga video card.

I also get this horizontal line that goes through the screen in standard resolution games such as Rastan and Ghosts n' Goblins when the screen is scrolling, it doesn't do it when not scrolling so I figure it is some sort of refresh problem.  The line goes from top to bottom maybe once every second.  Anyone else have this problem?   has anyone got these games running perfectly on this setup?  (d9200 and arcadevga)  they are 60 hz games so I figure there shouldn't be a problem.   thanks for any help.

Tim

triple buffering crashes windows, the d9200 switches resolutions and all i get is a big hour glass (the cursor) and a locked black screen.  is there some problem with amd processors and triple buffering?

Hi,

This is the third comment I've seen regarding tripper-buffering problems with the AVGA on this and the Ultimarc board.

Just out of curiosity, is the AVGA card you're using the old style (based on the ATI 7000 chip) or the newer version (based on the 9200 chip)?

Hi,

Sounds like it might be prudent to send Andy at Ultimarc an email about this as it might be a bug with the new 9200 card.

If you do, please post back to let us know what he says. You might also want to direct Andy to the Ultimarc discussion board where this problem has also been posted.

Also, what O/S are you using?

Cheers.
