D9200 dark patch
« on: August 06, 2004, 11:30:07 am »
The top right hand side of my D9200 has a darker area on the screen top left side, it is very miner so I don't really want to try taking it out of the cab and degaussing it at an angle which I know works sometimes. I did try just degaussing it in the cab but with no effect.

Would a manual degaussing ring fix this?

Well, I have a d9200 with a slight color problem in one spot.  (I wouldn't necessarily call it darker, just different color)  The onboard degaussing does help but I think it may be inadequate.  I have purchased a manual degaussing coil to try but have not got around to doing it yet.  I will let you know how it goes.  I am assuming it is stubborn because it is upside down in my cocktail cab as I didn't notice anything when i first used it upright.  It is a minor problem, I am the only one who notices.

That sounds a bit like mine maybe dark spot wasn't the best wording I could have used. I look forward to hearing what happens when you try your coil.
