I got this TV. I've hardly used it, though I bout it at least half a year ago. I bought it when I was originally purchasing all the parts for my cab and it's taken me a LONG time to build my cab (I get little time to work on it between full-time school and full-time work).
From what I have seen, it is the perfect solution. It remembers the last state (i.e., you don't have to switch to Video Input every time you turn the TV on, and it powers on automatically after losing power, so you can hook it up to a Smartstrip power strip and make your whole cab turn on and off with one button.
It also has the smallest profile of any 27" TV I've ever seen (and I researched A LOT of TVs before buying this one) making it much easier to fit into a cab (it helps that there are not speakers mounted on the sides). And it's inexpensive, to boot.
I can't really post comparison shots of Component vs. S-video, as I don't have component video-card right now (and since I'm using the Act-Labs TV light gun I have no intention of switching from S-Video). That said, the S-Video picture is good.
