1P CP from Gamecab blank
« on: August 04, 2004, 11:36:38 pm »
Made this for my brother.  He's a big pole position fan, that's the reason for the spinner.

Charlie from Gamecab is a really great guy, I have no hesitation in recommending him as a vendor.

Blank cp from http://www.gamecab.com/
Omnistick from http://groovygamegear.com/
Spinner from http://www.oscarcontrols.com/
(Spinner top is from Slikstik)
Minipac from http://www.ultimarc.om/ (also connects the spinner, so only one usb cable to connect)

One comment about the minipac, the premade wiring harness is a time saver, but not as much as expected.  The quick connects are a bit larger than the standard cherry microswitches, so to keep it from just falling off, you have to either crimp it while its connected, which is hard to do, or crimp it before connecting, which means it will probably be either too much or not enough!  Still a great product though, but I may just stick with ipacs from now on.

If you use a pair of pliers, you can squeeze the quick disconnects that fall off the most and tighten their connection.  Looks like your bro is going to be getting a freakin sweet present from his bro.
