Another 5 in1 handheld classic game console..

Looks like Taito is jumping on the 5 in1 mini console bandwagon after seeing Namco cleaning up with their two handheld classic game units. A pretty cool little list of games built into this little beauty too.. Only problem is it looks like a U.K. only release for now because it states that they're set up to plug into any *PAL* signal tv. :( Well that just bites ! Oh well maybe if its a big enough hit they'll make a version for the U.S.  :-\

Sega Mega Drive 6-in-1 Plug 'n' Play

Sonic The Hedgehog
Once voted the World's Most Popular Computer Game, Sonic The Hedgehog was designed as Sega's answer to Nintendo's mascot Mario and was largely responsible for the success of the Mega Drive.

Golden Axe
The classic medieval swordfighting arcade beat-em-up.

Kid Chameleon
The sideways platform game featuring the hero with a split-personality.

Flicky
...Rescue the chickens from the cats!

Dr Robotniks Mean Bean Machine
Match the coloured beans before they pile up to the top of screen in this addictive puzzle game.

Altered Beast
The first ever Mega Drive game, Altered Beast was bundled free with the Mega Drive until Sonic The Hedgehog was launched in 1991.

There is also the Atari 13 in 1 2 player set coming. Too bad the games they selected are really ancient. Allthough they seem to have changed the games a bit (they don't look the same as the versions in MAME)

So how can a BYOAC guy make a setup like this.  Like a console game, but with arcade controls and instead of a console, a little computer in a custom box that plugs into a TV?  AdvanceMAME only Linux system that boots AdvanceMAME on startup with a TV out card? Any ideas?

I've got my eye on one of those things. They look pretty tight.

Incidentally, if you live in the UK they can be bought at Argos for only

I made one like that a couple years back.  Instead of arcade controls, I used PS2 controllers, though.  I used a Mini-ITX board in a Cubid 2677R case.
