How the trackball control MAMEWah Commin
« on: July 28, 2004, 09:51:03 am »
I was wondering how the new version of MAMEWah with trackball control that I read about a while ago was commin. I just got my trackball and would love to be able to use it to scroll my lists. :)

Quite well, I've been nicely using my analog stick, spinner and trackball to navigate for a little while now (hehe)

;D

Seriously tho it's taking a little longer than expected, as I got sidetracked and re-wrote the whole config system too.

I think I have the bulk of it done now, but while I am in the coding mood I will probably add a few extra non-essential but nice things while I'm at it - someone will only request them if I don't ;)

hope it will also work with spinners?

will both X and Y movement result in the list scrolling?

Yes, you can map X, Y, or both axes :)

Um, 2 weeks ?

I said that 2 weeks ago as well, and I'm terrible at estimating so take it with a pinch of salt ;)  I have been working as much as poss on it so it will be reasy asap - it may well be a beta as I won't be able to test everything so I will be relying on your help chaps :)

Cool, it shouldn't be difficult...just try the new version when it arrives and let me know if anything doesn't work right.  I have my fingers crossed that I haven't messed up anything too serious  ;D
