Lightgun & mame
« on: July 25, 2004, 06:13:11 pm »
I tried to search the forums for tahat but couldn't find anything, sorry if has been asked. How can you play lightgun games in mame, does the actlabs gun works with mame of a modified version of mame. Or can we use the mouse an aim. And, would I be able to use this gun with other emu's like zsnes... Anyway , thanks for your help :)

The Act Labs gun works with current versions of MAME (official). Be sure to enable light gun support in your MAME ini file.

You can use NoNameMAME or AnalogMAME if you want dual light guns.

I am not sure about other emulators, but I seem to recall it does work with one of the NES emus. Try looking on Act Labs site for more info about that.

At least in single player mode, the lightguns should work with any emulator that supports using the mouse in place of a lightgun. The actlabs guns simulate a mouse, so no special coding is required.
