scrolling monitor between programs

Boy what I thought was light at the end of the tunnel was dust.

I am tring to finally finish my 6month plus project.  I have a WG 25k7193  monitor and am using ArcadeVGA and windows XP Pro as I move from mamewah to winodws the vert scrolls. also some games the bottom is cut off no matter what adjustment I do.  I can get it to stop scrolling but it is a pain every time i switch from game to mamewah to game fix the scrolling it is driving me nuts.

maybe I need just a few questions answered
1. what is the best setting(resolution) for a 25 inch arcade
2. is this normal that switching between games would make the screen scroll?
3. will mame automaticly change the resolution for each game if not how is this done?


Please someone point me in the right direction I am starting to feel that this dream is really a nightmare.
