dead monitor help needed

I have a question about my 19" kortek monitor.
i left my cabinet on when i was on the phone and when i came back the screen was black and i smelled something like burning plastic.. :o

Unplug the power connector going to the monitor then power up your game cabinet. If something happened to the monitor your game cabinet should power up and you ought to be able to trip coin switches and play game blind.

Look closely at and sniff around the flyback transformer on your monitor board. I bet that it is cooked as it sounds like from your description that it has failed.
