Tilt arcade in Olympia, Wash. folds
« on: July 07, 2004, 12:12:00 am »
A friend just told me about this. Last night the "Tilt" arcade in the Capital Mall in Olympia, Wash. closed up and skipped town in the middle of the night. They had been there at the mall since the mall first opened in 1978. I tried calling their phone number of 360-754-8310 and it just rings and rings---no answer.

Tilt in the baybrook mall of webstar texas folded about a year ago...

Other than putt-putt, it was the only arcade around.

The only reassurance I have is the Houston arcade Expo...

Well, after doing some checking on this myself today I found out a few things after contacting Tilt headquarters in Texas (www.tilt.com).

Yes, Tilt is gone from their space across from Tony Roma's at Capital Mall in Olympia, Wash. That explains why the phone isn't being answered. The mall wants that space to complete converting that area into a full 'food court'. Tilt was the last non-food store in that area of the mall.

Tilt headquarters has said that they are relocating the arcade to the other end of the mall in front of J.C. Penny's and should be reopen in about 2 or 3 weeks. So evidently they are only gone temporarily during a re-location. The phone is not connected yet at their new location.
