25" S-Vid TV
« on: July 06, 2004, 02:46:13 pm »
Does anyone know of a 25" TV that has S-Video. I have looked high and low. A 27 is just barely too big to fit. Anyone have any ideas?

I looked high and low for a 25" TV with s-video and came up empty.  RCA used to make one, but it was discontinued about two years ago.  I checked every electronics store I could think of, and the only 25" TVs I could find just had composite input.

I'm assuming you're looking for a 25" TV because your cabinet interior width is 25", and most 27" TVs are just slightly over this width.  I bit the bullet and got a D9200 arcade monitor even though it was 2x the cost of a 27" TV.  And I must say I have no regrets.   Go with the wells gardner D9200, it will fit perfectly in a 25" cabinet.

A 27 will fit in the cabinet itself, but the brackets for the speaker shelf just hit it :( A Small form factor 27 can fit, needs to be under 32" Diagonal with the case. Would it be THAT bad to strip the case from a TV? Or is that really bad?

Will a 24" do?  Wal-Mart has:

If I run across more I'll let you know.  I seem to remember quite a number of 24" TV's with S-Video.

Damn, that ones close, but the can is only 26 inches wide, that thing has speakers, makes it huge. :/

Saw that one, I think it might be an inch too deep :( I'm starting to think I may have to find a used arcade monitor instead. :/

Edit: Thank you for helping me with this too :)

Depth is probably the easiest of dimensions to remedy.  If you're not afraid to cut the back panel of your cabinet, that one would probably work.

Now if only I could find a TV that was a little under 24 inches wide and has S-video, or if somebody has a suggestion on how to make the opening of a Space Duel cabinet about an inch wider.
