Final Fantasy 7 CDs
« on: July 05, 2004, 07:14:38 pm »
Ok... here's my problem...

In a frenzy to reorganize my living room, one of my games (you can easily guess which) came open and CD #2 fell out along it's edge and got a serious groove etched into it... I've done my best to try "restoring" the cd, but the OTC crap for sale doesn't fix CDs very well... so...

How can I go about finding a replacement disc?  I've looked at pawn shops and flea markets in my area, but no go....

Any of you guys have a copy of FF7 that's pretty well screwed that has a working CD 2?  BTW... it's the PS1 game, not the PC version...

How's the rest of the set look, including the case?  If it looks good, and Wal*Mart still sells it you can just tell them you just recieved it as a gift and it came with the scratch...

Really depends on what condition everything is in though, and of course your morals.  ;)
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

Are you sure, Apollo?  New Zealand to US postage I imagine is quite costly.....

Also, I forgot to mention in the original post, but I've had this copy pretty much since the game first came out....  It's about 6 or so years old (definitely a pre-Greatest Hits release).

Just wish I hadn't gotten a bit careless trying to move it around in the living room.

You'll probably have better luck asking in the forums of one of the game trading and collecting sites.  Cheapassgamer.com has a trade section, to get you started.

I can get you mine. It IS GH, but the disc works... I should assume that it is backwards compatible. Either way, PM me, if you want it  ;)

Still looking...

only need Disc 2, altho I will take the whole game if that's the only way to get it.

BTW... Greatest Hits and the original game are exactly the same.

I don't see why you don't just go out and buy the greatest hits version?  It's only like $15.00 and you won't have to deal with shipping and other hassels.

Well... I was hoping to stumble across someone who didn't want their copy anymore, or someone who had a copy with a messed up disc.... as long as Disc 2 works...

I've seen a couple of copies for sale at a local Kmart @ $15... thought maybe I'd get lucky first and see if I could get the single disc first before I resorted to buying another full copy.

Isn't that considered one of the Greatest Hits now? I figured you could pick it up anywhere new for fairly cheap.

For example, ebgames.com has a "pre-played" copy for 9.99.

I've gone ahead and purchased one of the "Greatest Hits" sets to use since it seems shipping would put any other "deal" above other costs....

However, I would still take anyone's extra Disc 2 (as I said, if they have a copy of FF7 that has a busted disc 1 or 3)...

Thanks everyone!
