I have  been using advancemame in DOS (windows 98) with my 15Khz arcade monitor for a while and it works perfectly, great stuff.

I have also been experementing with the indows XP version of advancemame using the svgalib driver which also works fine except for one very annoying problem.
The problem is that every time it launch advcfg.exe or advv.exe from a full screen command line session it insists on running the program in a window, which of curse means it won't display on the arcade monitor properly.

So advancemame works fine if I configure it (in advmame.rc) manually but I can't use advv or advcfg to do the setup because I can't force them to run in full screen mode.

Does anyone know how to FORCE a windows program to run full screen? alt-enter does not work nor does the good old right click maximise trick, even setting the program properties to "run maximised" does not have the desired effect, it runs full screen for a second then flicks back to windowed mode.

Anyone used advance mame for windows XP before and had this problem? If so how did you fix it?
