Pachislo Machines?
« on: July 02, 2004, 12:48:02 pm »
You see them on ebay all the time.  I have always liked the idea but living in Canada bid on want to pay the shiipping.  Looks like there is a local guy finally selling them for approx 140$ cdn, which is affordable enough for me.

I understand that there are different features and manufacturers.  Any specific models or companys to avoid?  Any features you like or dislike?  I am not particular on a theme other then It has to have one (Several of them just have Asian writing and nothing else.. which is just too boring).

Cheers.

There's hundreds of models to chose from. Most have American themes ie: movies, music.

Try to get one with a bonus playfield or screen up top. They are more fun then the ones that just have the reels in the middle....

Yeah, I just barely missed out on an old pachinko at a garage sale once.  A guy got to it like 30 seconds before me, and he paid $5.  Of course, it needed some work, but still.

The definitive Pachislo website is www.pachislocity.com and be sure to join the forums. It costs $3 a month (US dollars) to join but it's well worth it.

I'm a member of the Pachislo City forums and it is well worth it. The price also admits you to many other areas of the site besides just the forums. You can also go to the 'modifications', 'machine lookup', 'translations', accessories, manuals, etc. sections. Pachislo City has the most information available on Pachislo machines on the net. They are just now coming out with nickel payout conversions and dollar bill acceptor kits.
