Cool!  I still have my old PowerGlove with serial interface hack (done in the early 90's when homebrew VR first caught on).  Now the real question is how long will it be before someone comes along with an app which takes advantage of this driver?

A powerglove mouse interface gets quite boring after 2 minutes.

You could probably get eliminator running with the powerglove.  That would be pretty cool

Other then that... well... sex games could take advantage of it I guess....

It'd be a cool controller for the 3D Arcade FE... There could be an on-screen 3D cursor which is basically your hand. I could move in 3D space relative to you point of view as you move your hand. Dunno, if the glove works liket that, but it'd be cool if it did.

There is a reason that the power glove never caught on and a device like it was never created again for the general market.  The powr glove sucks.  It's a crappy controller with next to no accuracy and it's heavy enough to make you want to throw it in the floor after use.  The instructions for it told you to prop your arm up on a chair while playing.  What?  Does this sound insaine to anyone besides me?  The power glove's stupidity could probably only be surpassed by the R.O.B.  Plus who cares, it's linux, no one really uses linux for a cab anyway.

When they make drivers for a real vr glove that works in windows let me know.  :)

Some of you people never experienced the horror that is the power glove, but I did.  Trust me it's not worth hacking.
