Screenshots and Boxart Renaming?
« on: June 27, 2004, 10:53:55 pm »
So the screenshot, boxart and cart scans on screenshotarchive.com are fantastic!!

BUT...somehow my roms and jpgs don't line up so I "missing" a bunch of them in MameWAH.

I tried the Artwork Renamer program that they suggest to try and get them to sync up, with no luck.

How do I get these images and rom names synced up easily without having to manually do it? Anyone have any luck doing this sort of thing?

The screenshots and boxart use the goodtools naming convetions.  You can use the goodtools to rename and assign codes to your roms.  After you run the goodtools, everything should match.  Read more about the goodtools and download them here:

I'll give that a shot. I was using the goodtools to try and rename to get it correct but I think trying to use GoodGUI and/or GoodWindows, which both seemed to do nothing or would crash, was my problem.

I'll try command line tonight and see if I get better results. Thanks!
