Mamewah crash white screen with Hotrod joystick press
« on: June 27, 2004, 08:05:53 pm »
If I press the 1st player Hotrod joystick to the diagonal left and down position the game goes to a solid white screen. You can hear the music playing in the background and the game still runs but the video is hosed. I have tried restoring my config to no avail it still does it. This started a week ago out of the blue. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this and have a fix?

Thanks!!!
Joel

Doesn't sound like something MAMEWAH would cause...I can only assume a MAME issue.

Try deleting \mame\cfg\default.cfg.

Does it happen if you hit number pad 4 and 2 ??

That was it! Yes, hitting the 2 and 4 did cause the white screen. My wife was getting none too pleasant to be around with her Mrs. PacMan not working. I did delete the hi-score trying to fix this. I was hitting all kinds of keys and think the reset in MAME killed the hi score... However, thanks to you, it is working!

Thanks!
