AdvancedVGA size issues...
« on: June 27, 2004, 07:37:49 am »
I have finally got my AVGA up and running with a 21" SCART TV and it looks pretty damn good except that the picture is too tall by quite a bit..

I have tried playing around with a few settings, but nothing works..  and I've failed to find any info on the Service Mode for this particular brand/model (Teac  EU-48)

Is there any way of adjusting the size of the screen with AVGA so it will fit?

Thanks again..

You could try taking the back off the tv to see if there are any size/position pots on the board, not sure if newer tv's even have these any more.

this newsgroup post may work for you.... if you didn't find it already...

http://groups.google.com.au/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&threadm=ovmmsug73o0gpg014kuge68um9ovunihe3%404ax.com&rnum=8&prev=/groups%3Fhl%3Den%26lr%3D%26ie%3DUTF-8%26q%3DTeac%2B%2Bservice%2Bmode%26btnG%3DSearch

additionally, I'll throw an email at a tech friend of mine who has contracts to repair warranty TVs etc.  Pretty sure he deals with/has dealed with Teacs... but no promises!  ;D
