Can someone help with CP
« on: June 22, 2004, 05:12:26 pm »
Hi all

I am really new to vector graphics.  I am going to try to come up with a decent control panel overlay.  I was wondering if someone could come up with a template for me.  I have included a crude pic that shows what it looks like with some basic dimentions.  So if someone could just create that outline with the correct mesaurements I would really appriciate it.

What program do you want it to be done in?  Adobe Illustrator?

Sure, I'd be happy to help, but I don't fully understand your diagram.  What is 5 1/2"?  The diagnol, the height, or the width?

5 1/2 is the little diagonal piece.  Hope that helps.

That is what I thought but I just wanted to be sure.  In the zip is an illustrator file.  I hope it is what you are looking for.

How did you get the proportions correct in Adobe Illustrator?

First, I turned on the grid as well as the rulers.  I had the snap to grid option turned on.  Then I made some guides that defined the boundaries of the cp's dimensions.  Finally, I used the pen tool to make the outline.
