Hi guys,
I apologize if this question has been answered, I did search, but although my question has been touched on, I didn't see it answered.
I've begun work on my cabinet, and made all of my measurements on the assumption that I'll be buying a WG D9200. Luckily I haven't made any cuts in the MDF yet because something popped up in my head this weekend.
I was originally planning on having a MAME-only unit, but now I've begun to lean towards supporting older consoles that I've owned over the years as well.
Consoles worked via connection to a TV, and looking at a frequency chart in the FAQ, I saw:
resolution horizontal bandwidth # lines # colors comparable
standard 15.75 kHz 240 unlimited CGA or NTSC TV
extended 16.5 kHz 288 unlimited CGA or PAL TV
medium 25 kHz 380 unlimited EGA
high 31.5 kHz 450 unlimited VGA
Since the D9200 is a 15/31 kHz monitor, does this mean that NES, SNES, Dreamcast, etc emulators will function? If the answer is no, then I'll have to re-check my monitor options.
