Need help identifying monitor, what chassis it needs
« on: June 19, 2004, 10:25:09 pm »
Hey all, I just bought a Rampage cabinet as the first real arcade cab I've ever owned. I've got the BYOAC book but it doesn't have enough info on what I'm looking for. I went over the FAQ (which I know is going to be quite helpful later on) so I hope I'm not pulling a stupid noob here ;)

I need some help identifying this 25 inch monitor, which is missing the chassis and advice on what chassis I should buy as a replacement.

Here are some photos of the back of the monitor. Linked for size.

Here is a big shot of all of the back of the monitor

This is a closeup of the sticker on the tube

And this is a close up of some stickers found on the frame (I'm not sure if this is the original frame or what for this cab, so these might not even matter)

Edit: I tried the model no. found on the side of the frame on therealbobroberts but it didn't match up with anything. Google also brought up nothing.

You have a Wells-Gardner model 25K7111 which is really a model 25K7191 circuit board mounted to the wooden bottom instead of a metal bottom. See this link: www.jstookey.com/arcade/WG_25k7191/

Any one of these complete main circuit board with neck board and remote adjustment boards (where applicable) will work:

25K7191 (uses P485 long remote adjust board)
25K7193 (uses P632 remote adjustment board)
25K7194 (uses the P632 remote adjustment board)
25K7197 (uses the P632 remote adjustment board)

Be advised that early runs of the 7191 and 7193 did not use a remote adjustment board. All the white trimpots were located on the main monitor board. All versions use the standard K7000 series capkits available from both Zanen Electronics and Bob Roberts. All 25K71xx have "P538" silkscreened on the main board component side. They require the use of an isolation transformer.

This info should help you locate a good used working chassis on ebay. If you are unable to find a chassis for this monitor you can always buy the "8liners.com" chassis so well discussed here on this forum. You'd want to order the 25", 10 pin, low impedance replacement chassis ($95) if you go that route.
