Contact Tim O, he makes excellent skins, IMHO! He took a request from me for the Atari 5200 and 7800, so you might ask him!

I'm interested in "PC Games", "Pinball" and "Casino".

Let mek now if you have an idea or artwork that you think would be cool to use. I'm not great with photoshop but I've done a few skins and probably would be willing to share my end results.

Pinball and casino are probably easy to do "something" but I have no idea on "PC Games".

I finally added a pinball category (mixed emulators) to my cabinet, so I'm curently working on a couple of pinball skins.

Edit: I contacted TimO and he said he was interested in doing those skins. No timeline though.

Hey guys, I'm never on this board... But I've recently had a few Private msgs forwarded to my email, and a few emails too requesting skins of these mentioned here and others. I've been really busy, but I believe I'm ready to get back to work on skins and mame related things (such as my site) So if you have any suggestions for these skins email me and let me know! Also, if you haven't already... check out my site.

Thank you all for the great compliments on my work  ;D, it's stuff like this that keeps me going. As I siad, I will start work agian on all types of skins. Expect new skins within the next few weeks. (It takes a long time to get it right! 8) ) I started a few a while ago, a Game Gear skin and a PC Games skin. I will finish those up first. Keep checking my site for the updates! ;) And thanks agian!

I want to do mame skin in the style of MagnetEye's skin below, and I'm looking for pics of cabinets to use for the main cabinet to overlay mamewah pictures on.

Cabinets on a somewhat solid and contrasting background would be best (or someone please point me to a tutorial on how to sperate an object from the background in photoshop).
I'd like the picture to be in high enough a resolution that it won't look too fuzzy when it takes half the screen at 800x600 (or 1024x768).
I'll share my results when I'm done.

On a somewhat related basis it would be nice if some people were willing to share the .psd file for their skins, for example MagnetEye's skin includes instructions that don't apply to my cabinet so I couldn't use the skin. you could edit the JPG in photoshop to overlay the instructions, but it you had the .psd (or whatever layered file format) you could simply rewrite the instructions for your cabinet and be in business.

For those that want my PSD of the above skin, I uploaded it here: http://www.cloud9media.com/download/80s_skin_new.zip

This skin has since been updated. Some changes from the above skin are: Increased cabinet size for better viewing of screenshots. Added MAME Logo to header. A couple new characters. Added the Arcade Classics Marquee. The old MAME marquee is still in the PSD file if you like that one. Oh, EVERYTHING is on its own layer, so you can do whatever you want!

ENJOY!  ;D :D 8)
