yet 95% of the time don't have a single passenger in the car

Well...I suppose you can "freely" read my post, but unless reading "freely" means something along the lines of taking certain phrases out of context and ignoring the parts that don't jive with the conclusions you've come to, I don't know how you can read that up there in the quote to mean that I am saying all SUV drivers are bad.

I think it's pretty clear that I'm talking specifically about the subset of SUV drivers who have no functional reason to own an SUV opposed to a car (the majority of them, I think).  To "freely" read a portion of one of my posts, outside the larger picture of, say, the rest of that post or even taken together with my other posts on the subject is disingenuous.  It is pretending to believe I am saying one thing, when you are perfectly aware I am saying another.  Even if my first post on the subject was unclear, which it wasn't, I have clarified my meaning over and over again.

Assuming you're talking about the psycho referred to in the Bible...Considering his son was allegedly a carpenter, he could drive an SUV without getting my panties in a twist.   Though, if I were him I imagine I would just float everywhere.  I never understood why he walked so much.  Not too bright for an omnicient.  ;)

And for the record, in case you were planning to disect this post in the same way you have my prior post, I don't really wear panties, and if I did, I don't know exactly what it would mean for them to be "in a twist"..  It's just a figure of speach.

Cars/SUVs are at a comfortable size for people now.  I am 6 foot 2, I do not want to squeeze into a compact car.

Um, im 186cm and I drive a Daewoo Matiz. 800cc of pure grunt! Its only the tiniest bit too small for me. Im fine in a regular hatchback.
Oh, and forget hybrid. Why mess up a perfectly good electric car?

What's wrong with CM and CC?  He's 186 centimetres tall and his engine has 800 cubic centimetres of power.  I fail to see how he is failing in his language.

Yours on the other hand... you typed one complete sentence and still got it wrong.

Australia AND the United Kingdom both use the metric system. I will now list ALL the countries in the world that don't. Ready? Ahem:

Liberia
Burma
United States

I think you'll find that the UK have used metric denominations for engine capacity for decades. For instance- Triumph 650 Thunderbird where 650 is the number of cubic centimetres or millilitres, or Jaguar Mk2 3.8 where 3.8 is the number of litres. For THOSE of you living in Liberia, Burma or the United states I will translate this once:

I am six foot, 1 and a half inches tall. I am also 4 cubits, 3 digits tall or 1 fathom, half a digit. My car engine capacity is 49 cubic inches or 28 imperial fluid ounces or 27 US fluid ounces multiply by three for teaspoons. It is also 61/128 of one pigskin. Sorry, i couldn't find any Burmese measurements. Actually I just made that last measurement up but it sounds good in the context of these ancient measurements we

Your from England, have some pride in your language.

If you want to speak French move to France.

We're getting bogged down in technicalities.  The important thing is that you should only be proud of something because it is superior.  Even if Danny lived in England, and even if England used imperial measurements, they would still be inferior to Metric -- not in accuracy, of course, but in functionality.  Metric is just much, much easier to use.

Rather than being proud of EVERYTHING you do, simply because you do it, why not try to acknowlege the things that you do that need improvement and improve them.

hey, did you find out about that doughnut subsidy yet?
yeah, I looked into it, and I don't weigh enough.  If I can gain 37 pounds, then I can file for the subsidy, but until then, no...the board autocensored the british word for cigarettes, what I was smoking in the loo...if you speak the Queen's English, you know what word I used, as I shant type it again, since that would be akin to clapping with one hand.

Anyone have some Cool Whip I can put on my Ice Cream?  I've gotta gain 37 pounds, and QUICK!

I just saw a feature the other night on a guy who did just that.  Whenever they asked him to super size it, wingo man...and then they showed another guy who ate the same amount of calories from the same place as the super size guy and he actually lost 8 pounds by working out and being active....the things some people will do to lose 8 pounds  ::)   ;D

Defiantly the wrong kind of pounds, you people need to go Euro, because it is superior to pounds.  England uses pounds, they are inferior to Euros-- not in accuracy, of course, but in functionality.  Euros are just much, much easier to use.

If you were on the Euro you could move to France.

Anyway, England WILL move to the Euro for basically the things you mentioned up there.  I know that you are just making a joke (and an apples-and-oranges analogy), but England, being a member of the EU will eventually follow suit and switch to the Euro because it is superior in functionality to the pound - as in, you can cross state lines and spend it in nearly every EU member state.  The pound is just really strong right now.  There's already a lot of support to switch.  When the pound starts falling England will adopt the Euro.  Do you think state-to-state commerce in the U.S. would go as smoothly if the Constitution did not forbid States to print their own money?  If you had to figure exchange rates to sell things across state lines, or New York banks and businesses didn't have to accept the money you earned at your job in Jersey, don't you think that could have an overall depressing effect on the economy?

blah blah blah and so on
