Adobe Illustrator Help
« on: June 10, 2004, 08:30:23 pm »
Hi all

If I download a marquee that is in .AI format how do I resize it to print the size that I need.  For example my marquee size is 23x6.

Thanks

Jason

If you don't have access to Adobe Illustrator, you might ask someone to resize it for you.

If you do have access, There are a number of ways to resize, all of them not too complex. I'll be happy to post some ideas if that info is what you are looking for.

I downloaded the trial version of it, so yes if you could tell me how to resize it that would be great.

Method 1.

1. Select View > Show rulers

2. Select > All

3. Hold "shift" then Click on one of the corner points

4. Drag down until it is the right size

Method 2.

1. Object > Transform > Scale

2. Select scale percentage

Method 3.

1. Use the scale tool (s)

2. Click on object (holding "shift")

3. drag until it is the size you want

Method 4.

1. Select the scale tool (s)

2. Double click it

3. Select percentage you would like to scale.

Version 3 & 4 might be good choices.... you might want to check the "scale strokes & effects" box.
