ePSXe works well.

Bleem!

I don't know what happened to it.  I know they made a couple Dreamcast discs but that was the last I heard about that.

It died a terrible sad death.  I have never really used Bleem! but ePSXe has run just about everything I have thrown at it so there is no reason to try another less advanced PSX emulator.

i'd say go with that epsxe...read a lot of good things about it.

if you need help setting it up and you can't get it at the main site, check out easyemu.

I am little confuse here....
i only know about IMPACT and ZINC emulators because they use
ROM images to play playstation games....

what about others epsx , bleem ???
does they directly read only an original playstation CD with a cd-rom
or even they can do alot more by using an ISO image or dump-roms.

bleem is basicly dead from what i have heard ..

epesx ( or epsex? i can never get that right ) uses ps cd's or iso/bin-cue files ... the catch is you do need a bios dump from your playstation ( i havent read the rules of the board recently , but i wouldnt be asking where to get a bios )  ... the good thing is that their is no real protection on playstation cd's , so if you own the orginal cd , it's not all that hard to make a iso from it ... a few games have problems , but tekken and other's work great.

heh now if chanka would only play soul caliber properly , i would have everything i wanted in my cab.

One of the cool things about ePSXe is that on a powerful PC it runs games far far better than they were ever meant to look.

It's got alot of options though, so you can squeeze decent speeds out of even a lesser machine.

The only issue I've had with ePSXe is if it's not in 3D, it looks like crap. 2D loading or character select screens are real ugly, and on some more complicated stages of Tekken 3 it sometimes drags a tiny bit.

That is not universally true.  Castlevania SOTN runs on epsxe very well.  However, almost all of the 2d shmups I've tried have been ugly like you said.

How to set epesx to boot at startup with some gamelist?
I am just asking how much possible it is to make epesx as a front end?
while we are using ISO images.

Well for mamewah: First, make a new bat file. For example: epsxe.bat. Next, open the new file with notepad and then fill it with:

epsxe.exe -nogui -loadbin %1

In Mamewah, set this file up as your emulator. Also, set ROM Extension to bin and rename all of your psx image exstensions to bin. Now, Mamewah will load the command line epsxe.exe -nogui -loadbin %1 replacing %1 with the game in your list.

you could map the start button to the coin switch .. but that would make changing alot of stuff in games very expensive ( 25C to change controls , 25C to pause , 25C to check inventory ,  etc )

Khan... I think you are extremely confused.

Zinc runs ARCADE games... that use the same chips found in a sony playstation.  They aren't playstation games and zinc isn't a playstation emu... they are just similar.

On the flip side...  epsxe IS a playstation emulator.  It runs playstation games NOT arcade games that ran on playstation hardware.

I know your english isn't so good so I figured I'd spell it out for you.  :)
