overhead drawings

i know someone did this for pacman sideart, but does putting a picture on a overhead and projecting it work well? then handpainting it? the person who i know did this did a great job, but i wanted to know if it would work well for anything else. would the picture get blurry on the overhead projection since it's blown up so large?

I've done this many times, not so much on Arcade cabinets, but when doing murals and such on buildings.  The lines get bigger too.  You focus the image, so you are going to be ok.  It is just as sharp large as it is small.  :)
