DC Fishing question...
« on: June 08, 2004, 11:06:52 am »
Hello

I just acquired the Deep Sea Fishing and Bass Fishing 2 for the DC.  And I having a hell of a time catching fish.

I mean, I've selected various lures, had the fish interested in the lure by following the lure around... but the fish isn't taking the bait.

I've played the game for @ 2 hours yesterday, and only caught 1 medium size fish.

Can anyone pass on some tips on how I can catch more fish?  Like which lure is best and how should I present the bait??

Thanks!

bass fishing 2 is hard, prolly the hardest fishing game on the dc, and i love and play them all,

play marine fishing first (and for the love of god, get a fishing controller if you dont have one yet)

after you get good at that, move up to bass fishing 1, bassrush dream, lake masters pro, then bass fishing 2, its just the most "sim" of the fishing games which otherwise are not so darn hard you cant catch anything. marine fishing is the easiest one to learn on though.

i never thought i would play any of these games, until i got one for free from a friend within a few hours i was addicted! i went out right then and got a fishing controller for 5$ from gamestop and havent looked back since. i have it hooked up to my dreamcast cab so i can play it that way.

and just so you know get bass and get bass 2 are just japanese versons of  sega bass fishing and bass fishing 2. i found that out hte hard way 8)

I've got the first Bass Fishing and it's pretty easy to catch the really big ones (they lurk in the holes). Not that it helps you much.

Been thinking about adding a rod controller to the cabinet.... just because I can.  ;D

Yep, I got a Fishing Rod Controller and it works great!

Thanks for the info.  I'm going to play marine fishing 1st then move to Bass Fishing 2.
