Mamewah, D9200 and Vector Games
« on: June 06, 2004, 08:22:43 pm »
Just looking for some insight on what I might not be doing correctly..

I've recently been playing around with mamewah and the mamewah setup program, which are both awsome!

I have an interesting problem with vector games though. I've set the command line string to use a specific frequency for my monitor (D9200)so all the games will play, which works on all games but vector ones. I get an out of range signal from the monitor when I try to play theese games in mamewah, but the games work fine when played in Mame32 with the same frequency selected in the advanced options of Mame32.

Another interesting scenario is that I can set the command line to use 800x600 and the vector games will work, but I'm not sure why I would have to force all games to this resolution using the command line version and not set this up using Mame32..

I'd recommend you use your mame.ini file to specify your 'general' resolution, and vector.ini to specify your vector res/settings.

My guess is that for some reason a different resolution is being used when you use MAME32 as opposed to MAME.
