The Caffeinator
« on: June 04, 2004, 02:55:19 pm »
I've had this project in my mind for about 2 years now (oh dear god...) but I bought a house, and well, time has been sparse.

Anyhow, I've finally decided on a four player modular CP, and too accomadate this, the CP will be fairly wide...36" to be precise, and 18" deep.

Does this layout look acceptable?

First, please try to change the size of you pic.  That bad boy is actual size.

Second, do you really need 6 buttons for players 3 and 4?  I would think 4 tops.

Oh...whoops, I run at 1600x1200, so it fit on my screen...sorry.

Here's a link instead...

I just used the 6 button modules for them all as an example...all 4 spots will be the same size, so any module can go in any spot.

Or that's what I'm thinking anyhow.

Player 3 & 4 are at a pretty harsh angle.  That's about all I can say at this time.

Should I maybe tilt them inwards...

eg, pivot assuming the joystick (on the left) stays centered and move the buttons
Like this: (my god these images don't shrink well!)

I think it's just those 6 buttons for player 3 & 4.  Makes it where you have to angle them pretty steep.  Also, why is the 4th players buttons on the opposite side from everybody elses?

Is "The Caffeinator" gonna have a coffee pot built into it?

I've got no problem using a joy left/ buttons right setup and I'm left handed.  Although I also can't use a left-handed scissors to save my life.  Maybe I'm just odd, eh?
Hope your cab works out.
