Project64 & Mamewah
« on: June 04, 2004, 07:08:50 am »
I've been trying to run Project64 within Mamewah with no luck.  So after failed attempts to figure out what's going wrong I went to a command prompt and ran the following command to see:

C:\Games\Project64 v1.5>Project64.exe "Mario Kart 64.zip"

But all I get is an error message of "Attempt to open file failed".  Any ideas how to run Project64 from command line?

The zip file(rom) is in the same location as the .exe, so I'm confused.

Does Project64's documentation not say?

You could try running just 'project64', 'project64 /?' or 'project64 -?' to see if it has a help page...

The zip file(rom) is in the same location as the .exe, so I'm confused.

Either enclose the mario kart zip filename in quotes on the command line or get rid of the spaces in it.

you need a full path regardless... also as suggested, the windows command line can't handle a path with spaces in it unless you enclose it in quotes.

Try this

That helped cool!  One problem left which isn't described on that link.  After playing a game in Project64(full-screen) and hitting ESC to exit the game, I end up back at the Project64 screen instead of going back to Mamewah.  How do I exit a game and close Project64 in one keypress?

Use the hacked exe version of Project64 available here: http://www.screenshotarchive.com/downloads_emus.htm
