Looney-Cade progress report
« on: June 02, 2004, 03:27:16 pm »
Well as promised (in the artwork forum) here is an update on the Looney-Cade project.

Quick background:

This was a former 4 player cab (old Captain America cab).  It was in pretty good condition to start.  This is/was to be a birthday present for my wife (today in fact) but as you can see its not done  :(!

Anyway here is the progress so far, just a quick pic.  What's left is to install all the buttons, joysticks, hardware, gun etc.  The computer and TV are already mounted in place.

I have not had the opportunity to do side art for the cabinet yet but it bassically be just a collage of different Looney Tunes characters.

**I know everyone is like "Why the Looney Tunes??" -- Well my wife is a big LT fan and I wanted to something out of the norm and the I just liked the thought of the Looney-Cade.

Anyway hope you like it.

I should also mention that a friend of mine is doing all this work for me as I have been too busy to do it.  Most of the ideas have come from me (including the marquee) but someone else has done the work.  I just wanted to be clear as I don't want to take credit for this person's massive effort!

Your "present" for "the wife" looks good so far--I am dubious as to who this machine is really for though ;D
its better to not post and be thought a fool, then to whip out your keyboard and remove all doubt...

Great marquee.  That TB looks like it might be a little close to the screen.  OK for centipede.  Ouch for GoldenTee.  But overall, looking good.

Thanks guys.

I am concerned about the TB as well but there are not as many TB games that we will be playing as there will be Joystick games.

Its coming along and while the machine is for the wife, I will get some time on it as well  ;D.  Afterall I didn't spend all this money on just her  ;)!!!

Oh yeah she also got a real pinball machine for her birthday as well.  Nice little game room we have now.

Cool cabinet.  There might be tball games you will get to like :)
I regularly play the horseshoes, shuffleboard (shuffle and shuffleshot), and bowling games.  Missle command, rampart, and quantum are high on my list of played games too.
