Just got a cab - Monitor not hooked up

As mentioned over in the BST forum, I just got back from the Starburst Auction with an apparantly 'non working' Dynamite Cop' cab in great shape , with a 25' monitor.   I just popped the back to find that the monitor isn't even hooked up to anything.  It just has 3 sets of wires coming from the rear of the tube (each set has 2 wires connected at the end with a molex), and they're just sitting there.   I'd love to test this and see if the monitor works, but I don't know where to look as far as connecting it.  

Anyone have any suggestions or ideas?

I got Menace on the case now, but here's some awful shots of the back of the monitor.









   What are those wires coming out of the back of the monitor?

I hate to say it, but you got ripped off. There's no neckboard or main monitor circuit board for those wires to connect to.

I think your monitor is a Wells-Gardner U-2000 (standard res) or U-5000 (medium res). I'm not familiar with your game so I don't know if it takes a standard or medium res monitor.

No worries dude!   I wasn't even planning on using the monitor in my cabinet anyway (I've already installed my 25inch TV).   I essentially got the cabinet for the purpose of gutting it and it was in pristine shape for that.   I figured the monitor might be of some use to someone, so that's why I thought I'd see what the deal was.    Now if the monitor was the reason that the cab wasn't working (which it's looking like), maybe the PCB is still in working condition?  

Either way, I don't feel ripped off - it's just too bad that the monitor in it's current state isn't of any use to anyone.....it's off to the dump then!

I wouldn't toss out that monitor yet. You could buy one of the 8liners.com replacement chassis assemblies for $95 and have a working monitor!

Or you could sell the tube and/or frame.

okay, well I don't think I want to go down that road (getting a new chassis)...As much as I'd like to have my cabinet play games exactly like they are in the arcade, I'm not so much of a stickler for the graphics.  I'm quite happy with the results on my TV, and I don't really feel like investing another 100 bucks USD to get a monitor working.    What's a tube and frame like that worth to anyone....20 bucks?...thoughts?

Any plain tubes I have got in the past were free just to save them from going to the dump, but its up to you--just don't be like that other guy that posted awhile back--"I would rather cut this cabinet up for firewood than give it away "

WHOA WHOA WHOA!!!  Before anyone gets the wrong impression here...not trying to pull what that other dude did.  I'm just not completely familiar with what I have, and whether or not it's of monetary worth to someone.   Understand that I have to explain to my wife that the monitor which I told her might be worth a few bucks isn't worth squat.  To which she says then throw it out...to which I say, well I think somebody might be able to get it to work again...to which she says, then why don't you sell it...see the vicious cycle???  I'm just trying to keep her happy because this wasn't exactly the kind of project she was  too thrilled about me dropping any money on.....NEVERTHELESS...I've PM'd you Menace with details, on how and where to pick up the tube.    

Thanks again for everyone's advice and help - just don't think I'm digging for pennies here.....:-)
