Feedback request for Atomic Arcade
« on: May 29, 2004, 03:19:14 pm »
Hi, all: Can you tell me which you think looks better, the left half or the right half. Not sure which approach to take for my control panel. Thanks!

I prefer the left half.  :)

Might give some thought to the button spacing. I wish I had mounted my buttons with the bezels nearly touching. Even with a small distance between them it's a bit uncomfortable to span them. Is this the CP for use with that cool space marquee you were working on?

Pixelhugger, are you messin' with me  :)
Can you really see the control panel? I can't see it when i try to view it on this post. Anyways, yep, it's the one that goes with the space marquee I was working on. Still trying to work on the artwork, in my spare time, which there's not much of.

You think the buttons are too far apart? I was putting them 1 and 5/8 inches apart from center, which I think is what our boy St. suggests in his new book. Maybe I'll take it down to 1.5 inches. I have small hands, and so does my wife.

Pixelhugger, how the heck do you make an item transparent in Illustrator, version 8?

I can do it using Photoshop, but I can't figure out how to make transparencies in Illustrator. Thanks for any advice!

In version 8 I'm not sure if you do.  ::) I use 10 and have noticed 9 is as far back as a lot of the cool stuff translates.

Anyhow, you do it with "opacity masks" more on that later.  :)
