Rom questions

 ???How do I get roms? I am not wanting illegal ones, but when I by my used cabinet, ill get a board and i need to know how to get a rom of that game that works. Thanks for your time and any resonse :-*

It doesn't work that way....  

If you need your pcb eproms redumped then you'll have to send it off to an arcade repair guy.  Check the net, but it's best to find someone local if possible.  

If you meant you own the pcb so now you have the right to play the rom in mame then think again.  Backup copies of software extracted from hardware (which can be loosely linked to "bypassing protection") violate the dmca, and therefore, contrary to popular belief, owning a pcb does NOT give you the legal right to make a backup, or use it for that matter.

that dmca only applies to america because they cant make law in other countries.. just like its legal to download music in canada

You can buy the real board, and a ROM dumper.

Also, Hanaho Games sells the Capcom Coin-op Classics CD-ROM which when installed, includes 14 Capcom ROMS.

Additionally, www.starroms.com sells legal Atari ROMS.

Last of all, you can get three free ROMs from www.mame.net/downmisc.html.  These are made free for non-commercial use by their copyright holders.
