About Kymaera

Hi i have there some questions

1. It is possible to use a win screensaver with kymaera?? (just have an powerpoint presentation wich i wanna use)

2. Why couldn't i see kymaera on my windows Task-manager (utilities)

3. Why is only a dragon on the taskbar - i cant make any makros cause that thing.
I mean makros in that whay for example. Metal Slug is started and nobody is playing on my cabinet at home. A macro simulates the exit button and i come back to kymaera. And than a screensaver with funny videos would run - until some friends or i would activate any button.

Could somebody help? Kymaera Creator??

Howdy, PacManFan here,

1)Currently, Kymaera does not support windows screen savers. It's on my to-do list, and it should be in be the next version or so.

2) I don't know, It should be there.

3) The dragon is on the Kymaera window on the taskbar, just where it should be. I'm not sure I understand what you are trying to do.

I think this can all be cleared up when I put the windows screen saver functions in.

Post any specific questions you have.

Good news, I've just put in support for using Windows Screen Savers into Kymaera. I'll be posting a new version in the next few days with some great new features.

Its great to hear that a new update with new features is coming.

About point 2) Some example when i start I-Explorer - on the lower taskbar is an icon of explorer and a text like "Internet Explorer or Reply massage like now"

But when i start kymaera there is only the dragon but not any information which programm.

Hope you know now what i mean

If you are referring to the missing caption on the minimized taskbar, that's by design.  Do you need it for some reason?

Yepp, i need it for a macro.
That means if a game is started a nobody is playing after few minutes the macro should stop mame and return to kymaera.

For example Metal Slug is running in standalone phase, after 10 minutes my macro is simulating the exit button and i return to kymaera.

It is possible to show the missing caption??

If I understand correctly Hellmark needs the main form of Kymaera to have a caption of the game name, not neccessarily for the taskbar to be visible.  A few people have requested this for MAMEWAH, I think 'broadcasting' was a term used...

BTW Hellmark, you might want to give Howards EmuSaver a try (www.oscarcontrols.com/lazarus).  I think it should do what you are trying to do with your macro.
